DR. BYRON CAPPS is a highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon originally from Ahoskie, NC. After completing both his undergraduate and dental education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he entered the U.S. Army, where he completed an AEGD residency. He was then assigned to the 4-2 Stryker Brigade Combat team and deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) training within the military, serving an additional four years as an OMS before transitioning into private practice in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Capps provides a full scope of outpatient OMS procedures—including extractions, third molars, bone grafts, sinus augmentation, biopsies, expose and bond treatments, and implant placement—with a special passion for dental implants. He is also certified in sedation to ensure safe, comfortable patient experiences. Inside the operatory, Dr. Capps is driven by creating an environment where both patients and team members feel supported, respected, and cared for. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors, and being with his daughter and two dogs. His commitment to patient-centered care, advanced surgical skills, and supportive team culture makes him a valued addition to the practice and the communities he serves.
